Five chicks hatched on Wednesday 26th March 2014!

26th March 2014

3 chicks hatched overnight but Red Class were fortunate to watch the progress of the 4th chick as the small triangular chip in the shell got larger until finally the baby chick pushed its way out. Everyone will have the opportunity to hold a chick once their feathers are fully dried out and they're a little bigger.  The fifth chick decided to hatch whilst the children were out on their swim lesson!  We had five to seven viable eggs out of the ten incubated.  I'm sure the children will be watching to see if more hatch!
